During a spiritual healing session, my client was frustrated that he’s not making progress in his life. He’s stuck and fearful. He said he keeps asking for God’s help and yet he feels he is going down the tubes. With my ability to see the hidden memories holding someone back, I saw a lifetime when his daughter had been killed. He was angry and blamed God and turned away from God.
Now that he wants God’s help, he doesn’t feel worthy because of turning away from God in the past. He also doesn’t feel worthy because of other previous mistakes he’s made that he hasn’t been able to forgive himself for. We’ve all made mistakes, but holding onto those mistakes only keeps the pain alive. Forgiveness is the fastest way to healing.
As I instructed him to just let go and surrender, he resisted. God stepped in and through me told him that he has always loved him and had forgiven a long time ago and it was time for him to forgive himself. God gave him the choice to join with him so he would be safe and have the doors opened to him. His memories of being told God would punish him or send him to hell made it difficult to fully surrender. He believed that if he surrendered, he would be punished or sent to hell and had a terrible fear about that. We cleared it, but it is still up to him to fully let it go.
God doesn’t always speak through me to my clients but on occasion comes through clearly when a client is really struggling to connect with God and wants that relationship.
I wish I had recorded the session but when a channeled messages comes through it isn’t always announced in advance to prepare a recording for it. He made it clear, however, that he resided within his own heart and that he was at his core. In each moment he could choose to be one with God, his essence, or separate himself and go it alone continuing to struggle.
I told him it was all a matter of choice. I gave him the example that if you didn’t have God it was like trying to operate a computer without a mother board. You could delete programming you no longer wanted but really can’t operate the system without God. Not acknowledging, understanding or accepting God is no different than acknowledging there is a mother board to run the computer. Accept it. It is what it is. Take advantage of the benefits it provides.
Not choosing God is like walking alone with blisters on your feet and having someone come along offering a ride and refusing to take it preferring to continue to struggle along your path.
Our painful memories keep us stuck if we don’t let them go. Not taking advantage of the most powerful part of us is foolish. It’s like the CEO of the company offering a the guy in the mailroom a machine to sort the mail to make it easier for him and the guy in the mailroom choosing to continue to sort through the mail himself.
In each moment we have a choice to be fully present in the moment, or bring our past with us. In those same moments, we also have a choice to connect with out Source/God and benefit from all that provides. His was given a choice today of continuing in fear or establishing faith.
In each moment we always have the choice to choose fear or faith. Which would you prefer?
