Marriage today has shifted so drastically that no one knows what is appropriate any longer. The rules of the past no longer seem appropriate or necessary. It is time to choose the path that is most appropriate for you and not to be concerned with the rules set by another. If you choose a traditional marriage, choose it because it suits you. If you choose to create something other than traditional, outline and agree to that so you can live into that decision equally. Do not succumb to the roles set by another if they do not suit you. Each individual has their own path to follow. When you follow the path set by another, you are not being true to yourself. Do not judge another for not following the same path as you for your judgment serves no one and your judgment only reflects back to you and reveals nothing of those you judge.
