What is the significance of money? To many it is the representation of how important you are in the world. It states to the world how successful you are and makes others value you more if you have a lot of money. It is a representation of status, importance, power and control. Those are all the surface meanings. To many it is survival, it is getting health care, having food on the table and a roof over their heads. To me, it is a means of exchange and nothing more. The rest of it are the ideas you place on it. It is the value you place on money. It is how you see money. It is the feelings you have about money and your ideas about it’s meaning that makes money work for you or not.
To those who have power over your money, you have more power. To those whom money has power over you, you are more powerless. If you take your energy and beliefs off of money, what does it become? It becomes no more or less than what it exactly is, a form of exchange. It is your beliefs about money that empower it or not. If you have the need for more money, you need to look at your beliefs about money. It may not be that the money is the issue at all but your beliefs about yourself.
If you are whole within yourself, money shouldn’t be an issue for you either way. Having it or not having isn’t a priority because it will just be as it should be. Your needs will be met regardless. You will have what you need without a concern for money. Your troubles start when you empower money as the means rather than your wholeness. Go for your wholeness first and the money will become an effortless participant in your life of which you will derive pleasure rather than pain and ease without struggle and effortlessness throughout all areas in your life. Which would you prefer? To focus on money or to focus on wholeness?
