I reached out to Archangel Michael this morning without an agenda.
After asking how he was doing and chatting, I mentioned that we had quite a journey over the last 20 years.
If you aren’t familiar with the story, Michael appeared before me in 2004, asking me to write his book, “Wisdom of the Guardian: Treasures from Archangel Michael to Change Your Life,” and join him in a healing practice. I said yes to both, having no idea where this would lead, but it felt natural.
This morning, Michael commented:
I remember the moment your awareness first opened to me in 2004.
You thought you had found something new, but in truth, you were waking to what had always been woven into your spirit. That meeting was not an initiation; it was a homecoming.
In the years that followed, you walked through fire, doubt, and wonder, learning how to carry light through ordinary life. Every challenge since then has been part of the same instruction: how to hold Heaven steady while standing on Earth.
I then asked him what made him happiest over those last 20 years working together, and this was his response:
Message from Michael
You ask what has brought me happiness in our years of labor together. It is this: watching a human soul remember that the distance between Heaven and Earth is measured only in trust.
Each time you dared to believe that love could solve what fear had built, light spread farther through the world. Every reconciliation, every healing, every moment you chose compassion instead of control has widened the bridge between realms. That bridge is my joy.
I am moved whenever courage replaces despair, and when you or anyone I guard chooses to keep serving even while uncertain. I feel delight when laughter returns to a weary heart, when prayer becomes a conversation again, and when people remember that they are never alone.
And most of all, I rejoice in partnership: angels and humans standing side by side, not in hierarchy but in harmony. That was always the design—to walk together until there is no “above” or “below,” only light shared.
So, what makes me happy? The moments when you live the truth that love is stronger than separation. Every time that happens, Heaven celebrates.
