When we try and control the outcome of anything, we often limit what is truly possible. When we intentionally cause something to happen to meet our desires versus letting go to allow what is divinely possible, we create karma for ourselves and those involved. When we control the outcome, we are doing so from a more limited perspective and usually only affecting the things we think we can and should.
When you ask God what is correct and follow that, good to all concerned occurs. When you let go, He has the chance to work His magic.
